무엇을 평가하는가
개별 기사가 아니라 언론사 전체의 논조와 기사 선택 경향을 한국 정치의 축 위에서 평가합니다. 평가 대상은 언론사이며 기자 개인은 평가하지 않습니다.

입력과 가중치 (bias-0.9-ai)
첫 공개 평가는 기사 표본을 인공지능(AI)으로 분석한 세 가지 입력을 사용합니다.

세 입력은 -2.0에서 +2.0 사이 점수로 환산한 뒤 가중 평균하여 다섯 단계 중 하나로 표시합니다. 방법이 AI 분석만으로 이루어지는 동안 신뢰 수준 "높음"은 사용하지 않습니다. 정치 기사가 적어 표본이 부족한 언론사는 신뢰 수준 "낮음"으로 표시합니다. 독자 조사와 자문위원회 검토는 이후 버전에서 추가됩니다.

언론사별 표본 기간과 표본 크기는 각 언론사 페이지에 공개합니다.
변경 규칙
- 평가 변경에는 방법에 근거한 사유가 필요하며 변경 기록에 남깁니다.
- 변경은 적용 7일 전에 공개합니다.
- 선거 기간에는 평가를 변경하지 않습니다. 동결 기간은 선거운동 기간 시작 7일 전부터 선거일 다음 날까지입니다.

What the rating measures
The overall editorial and news-selection leaning of an outlet on the axes of Korean politics, not a single article. We rate outlets, never individual journalists.

Inputs and weights (bias-0.9-ai)
The first public ratings use three inputs derived by artificial intelligence (AI) from article samples.

Each input is scored between -2.0 and +2.0. The weighted mean is shown as one of the five labels. While the method is AI-only, the confidence level "high" is not used. An outlet with too little political content gets confidence "low". A reader survey and an advisory panel review will be added in a later version.
Samples
The sample period and sample size for each outlet are published on that outlet's page.
Rules for changes
- A rating change needs a method-based reason, recorded in the change log.
- A change is published 7 days before it takes effect.
- Ratings do not change during an election period. The freeze runs from 7 days before the campaign period starts to the day after election day.
